Why Did I Buy This? Ribbon

Each Friday at noon MT, I host a Facebook Live featuring different craft supplies and a variety of ways to use them. This started as a way to encourage my crafters to dig into supplies they bought during the pandemic, and start to create! It’s also a great series for my new crafters to see what supplies they might like in their collection.

Episode 17 of “Why Did I Buy This?” featured ribbon! Ribbon is something I’ve noticed people have a love/hate relationship with! We all love to buy it, but often struggle with the bow tying part of it. This episode helps you to overcome the ribbon fears and learn how to use it in your projects.

One thing I love about ribbon is that it can easily be coloured to match your projects. My favourite ribbon for this is white linen ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack. It’s perfect for colouring with your Stampin’ Blends.

On this card, I coloured the ribbon with the Grey Granite Stampin’ Blends. It’s quick to colour, and because of the alcohol it is quick to dry.

Imagine colouring your ribbon rainbow coloured or even zebra striped! There are so many creative ways to approach this!

Be sure to watch Episode 17 to see all of the ribbon techniques in action.
