Totally Techniques Blog Hop – Brayering With Embossing Folders

This month our team is showcasing brayering with embossing folders. Embossing folders are a great way to add pattern and texture to a project, and brayering adds another layer to really make the folder design pop!

For my project, I incorporated another technique to create the background colour. I used a baby wipe and ink refills to apply the colour over the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.

I set aside the watercolor paper to dry. Next, I brayered the Gray Granite Classic Ink onto the raised part of the Zinnia 3D Embossing Folder. I ran it through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to get this look.

This created a feeling of a letterpress card! I used this as the focal point of the card.

I used the Simply Zinnia Dies to create the textured flower on the front. The flowers can be sprayed with alcohol and crumpled. When they dry, it makes the fun focal point on the card. The center of the card is a 1/2″ strip of Lemon Lolly Cardstock crumpled in the same way and dried.
