There is nothing “old-fashioned” about Stampin’ Up!’s Stampin’ Blend markers. These alcohol based markers, appropriately, are the thing that makes this Old-Fashioned drink themed card so magical.
Episode 16 of “Why Did I Buy This?” features these versatile and remarkable markers. You can watch the replay here. During this episode I share how to get the layering and lifting results using both the markers and the Color Lifter.

See how the ice cubes look a lot lighter in the glass? The Color lifter is so helpful when working with things that we would normally consider “white” or “clear”.
I also finished off the liquor with Wink of Stella to make it look like it shimmers in the bottle. Photos can’t capture the shimmer, but check out the video to see it.

I love this modern twist on an old-fashioned birthday card.
