Totally Techniques – Shaving Foam Stencil

Welcome to December’s Totally Techniques Blog Hop! Each month our team choses a technique to feature, and we showcase our projects using them. I’m Lynsay from Edmonton, Alberta Canada. This month, our technique was something I hadn’t tried yet – the “Shaving Foam Stencil Technique.”

This is a fun technique! It starts with shaving cream layered into a plate. Add your choice of ink refills to the foam.

Choose a stencil to use. I used the Adorning Designs Decorative Masks that are retiring from the Holiday Catalogue. Use a straight edge to scoop the coloured foam and spread evenly over the mask. Use the straight edge to remove any extra.

Use a paper towel to buff off any excess shaving cream. The remaining ink is left in the pattern of the mask.

I loved the design left and brought in some retiring items and some new items to create this project.

I love that you could use this card for either Christmas or Valentines!

I love this technique and can’t wait to try it on more projects!

Be sure to follow along with the rest of the team to see other projects using this technique. Click the blue button below to see a list of the blogs.
