Stamping Sunday Blog Hop – Suite on You

Welcome to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop! I’m Lynsay Mahon from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Each month our team showcases our creations related to the chosen theme. This month we had the freedom to choose our favourite suite from the Annual Catalogue and share our projects.

I’m a big fan of the Bloom Where You’re Planted Suite!

I love the natural colour theme and the ability to use coordinating designer series paper, stamps and dies to create very realistic looking plant themed projects.

I worked within the colour palette of the designer series paper to create my projects:

I love the brick patterned designer series paper and used that as the focal point of my card.

I wanted to create depth to the plant so I stamped the image in Soft Succulent, then die-cut it using the coordinating Perfect Plants Dies. I used the same die to cut out another leaf image from the Soft Succulent Cardstock.

I added a snippet of the Paper Lattice to give some extra texture to the card.

For my second project I wanted to make a small gift to give to a friend who watched my yard while I was away on holidays. The Annual Catalogue has so many packaging ideas and I used the Simply Classic Treat Box. This box comes with two sides – a white side and a gold side. I opted to just use the white side of the box and leave the other side open.

I wrapped the box in a 1-3/4″ strip of the brick patterned designer series paper and used Stampin’ Seal to adhere to the outside of the box.

I made the tag using the Plentiful Plants Bundle and the coordinating Bloom Where You’re Planted Designer Series Paper.

It’s such a fun suite to play with and I love the detail of the macrame plant hanger!
