Welcome to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop! I’m Lynsay Mahon, from Edmonton, Alberta Canada. Each month our team showcases projects featuring the latest and greatest in Stampin’ Up! products. This month, we were challenged to create projects using the “fauna” from the Spring Mini Catalogue. With Easter just around the corner, I knew which set to use!
The Springtime Joy Stamp Set is seriously some of the cutest fauna artwork I’ve seen. I love the little lamb and bunny and couldn’t wait to colour these images using my Stampin’ Blends.
I used circle punches (on the Last Chance List) to create the peak through holes and fussy cut the flower images from the set.
These fauna images would be perfect for Easter, baby cards, or even confirmation & baptism cards.
I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up the Petal Pink layer so that it really gives the look of a window that the animals are peaking through.
I like to gift little treats to my nieces and nephews at this time of year, so I’m always on the look out for cute packaging. Stampin’ Up! carries acetate card boxes (in two sizes) that are great for decorating and stuffing with threats. For this project I used the smaller sized box.
I wanted to create dimension on the bunny’s face, so I used the marker to add a layer, let it dry, then used the fine tip to add the shading for the nose and body. I’m really happy with how it turned out.
This little box will perfectly fit some mini eggs, that I’m sure my little friends will be happy to devour!
