Heat embossing is one of the most magical techniques that I teach. There is something so satisfying about watching the embossing powder melt into a magical shine that takes a project to the next level.
During Episode 34 of “Why Did I Buy This?” I wanted to create a way to emboss the brush strokes of the wide Water Painter brush. I tried something completely “against the rules” of embossing… and it worked!!
I used my wide Water Painter and I brushed water onto the background I created on watercolor paper that had been embossed with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder. While the paper was wet, I sprinkled Silver Stampin’ Emboss powder onto it and used my Heat Tool to emboss it. The water held the brush strokes and was enough to allow me to emboss directly!
It makes for such an interesting way to create shapes with embossing powder!
