Stamping Sunday Blog Hop – Gift Tags

Welcome to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop! I’m Lynsay Mahon, from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Each month, our team chooses a suite or project to feature and this month we are featuring gift tags! Whether simple or elaborate, a gift tag dresses up your package and gives it a personalized touch.

I’m a huge fan of the Trimming the Town Suite. This suite has a little bit of everything for both our new and avid crafters! I wanted to share three different tags that can be made with different levels of supplies and experience.

This first tag could be made by our beginner crafters with minimal supplies.

This tag is stamped with Memento ink directly onto Crumb Cake cardstock. I used the White Stampin’ Chalk Marker to colour the snow details.

My second tag is created exclusively using paper. The Trimming the Town designer Series Paper has incredible imagery! It can be fussy cut with scissors or if you have the coordinating Home Together Dies, some of the images perfectly match!

I love how even the words come from the designer series paper!

My third tag showcases an “avid crafter” project. This uses the Home Together Dies, paper piecing and a splatter technique using a Water Painter and White Craft Ink to create the background snow.

Whether you’re new to crafting or you’ve got a lovely collection of supplies, consider making your own gift tags this year! It’s lots of fun and it makes the gift that much sweeter for the recipient!

I encourage you to keep hopping along to see the rest of the incredible projects showcased by the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Team! Click on the blue button below to see the list of crafters:

  1. I love your tags Lynsay, I love how you used Crumb Cake as your base colour, this makes the snow effects look light and airy and ever so sweet! The little details like the bell and extra linen thread make your tags very special – I am sure your recipients will feel delighted!
