Shimmery White Cardstock is an absolute favourite of mine! This cardstock has a beautiful, subtle shimmer and works really well for creating inked background techniques.
This technique immediately brought to mind an ocean scene! I used Sponge Daubers to apply Pool Party, Coastal Cabana and Pear Pizzaz Ink to my Shimmery White Cardstock. Then, using a clean Sponge Dauber, I dabbed rubbing alcohol onto the cardstock. I also used the fish from the Whale Done stamp set to add spots of alcohol, and then allowed it to interact and dry with the ink.
It creates a subtle “bubble” effect that makes a fun, underwater texture to the paper!
The Whale Done stamp set has perfect stamps for finishing a seascape that looks realistic.
