Episode 33 of “Why Did I Buy This?” featured my favourite cardstock: Shimmery White! This cardstock has a subtle shimmer and is really favourable to ink and water, making it a perfect choice for background techniques. You can catch the replay of episode 33 here.
I used the Shimmery White Cardstock as the background piece on this card. Using Soft Seafoam ink refill, I used the water painter to create a light colour wash. After it dried, I picked up more ink and splattered the background to create that subtle spotting effect.

This fun pocket that’s featured on the front was created by cutting two circles from the Stitched Shapes Dies. I then used one of our new Curvy Dies to cut one o the circles in half to be able to insert my flowers. These flowers and bird were coloured with Stampin’ Blends.

That little bird makes my heart happy! Seriously cute.
