Window Sheets are an easy product to look past… why? Because they’re clear! HAHA! Seriously though – these clear, 12×12″ sheets are often skipped in the catalogue because their versatility is not immediately obvious! That is why Episode 32 of “Why Did I Buy This?” is another look at Window Sheets!
I love how Window Sheets can be a part of the project, or be part of the technique that completes the project! This project shows how to include the Window Sheets in the project AND use a technique with it:
I call this a “level up” shaker card!
To make the window in the shaker card, first run the window sheet through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (the Big Boss!) using the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder. Then use Stampin’ Blends to colour over the textured window sheet. Finally, spray the sheet with rubbing alcohol to cause the ink to run and blend. Because the Stampin’ Blends are alcohol based, it will stay on the window sheet and create the underwater feel!
I love how the blends create that murky feel of being underwater. This is just another way to add a whole lot of texture to a project!
I can’t wait to try this technique to create a snow storm with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder!
