Episode 29 of “Why Did I Buy This?” featured designer series paper. During the month of October, Stampin’ Up! is holding a designer series paper sale! I wanted to share some different ways to use your designer series paper, as well as the versatility of some of our themes of paper.
One of things I love is when you can change up the theme of a paper! This project uses the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper, but I wanted to make a card that was not winter or holiday themed.
The Snowflake Splendor paper is one of my favourites of this catalogue. I especially love that some of the papers have a watercolour or frosty look. When I looked at this specific paper, I saw water. To accentuate the look of water, I used the Old World Paper 3D embossing folder to give the ripple effect.
The designer series paper does all of the work on this project. I brought in the Under My Umbrella stamp set and the Umbrella builder punch.
To help create the illusion of rain, I used the Metallic Mesh Ribbon. It adds the perfect amount shimmer.
