The Brushed Metallic Cardstock is incredibly elegant. Combined with the Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder, the two metallic products make a beautiful effect.
During Episode 28 of “Why Did I Buy This?” I played with different ways to incorporate the metallic cardstock into your projects. If you missed the live, you can catch the replay here.
For this project, I really wanted to play on the gifts that were brought to baby Jesus in the Nativity, so used the Brushed Metallic Cardstock for the manger.

I like how the gold embossed image is both subtle and striking all at the same time!

I also wanted to create the feel of straw in the manger, so I used the bronze ribbon and frayed it apart to give those glimmer-y threads.

Sort of an “out of the box” way to get the effect I wanted!

Have you tried embossing on your metallic cardstock before? It’s a great way to add regality to your projects!
