Stamping Sunday – Plaid Tidings Suite

Welcome to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop! I’m Lynsay Mahon, from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Each month our team features a suite from the Stampin’ Up! catalogues and shares our project versions. I love seeing what each member creates and I invite you to hop along and be inspired!

This month’s featured product suite is the Plaid Tidings Suite from the August – December Mini Catalogue (the holiday catalogue).

My projects feature the bundle that is part of the Plaid Tidings Suite. What I love about the Celebration Labels Dies is they lend themselves to folding! The width and length have notches in the middle that make it very easy to score and fold. My projects showcase this a couple of ways.

The first project would be perfect for a Halloween themed invite!

I used the largest Celebration die to cut the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper. I cut it in half and scored it 1/2″ so that the edge could wrap and adhere to the black centre cardstock piece. I did this on both sides. Then I wrapped the ribbon around the back and sandwiched it between the card front and the Rich Razzleberry piece.

When you open the ribbon it shows the inside ready for a spooky invite!

The outside tag uses the smallest die from the Celebration Labels Dies. I folded it in half to make a little card mounted on the tag so you can customize the name for the invite.

I love all of the folded surprises on this project!

For my second project, I wanted to keep within the Halloween theme, and so put together a label topper for Halloween treats for special trick-or-treaters that come to the door.

I folded the Celebration Labels Dies the long way to be able to get this cute topper!

The Iridescent Pearls make perfect spider bodies (in my opinion!). I love the shiny, rounded abdomen they create!
