Colouring is by far the most noticeable technique on a project! By adding colour to a line drawn image, you are able to bring the art to life and add dimension and interest.
The Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set is a perfect set for colouring. It has much of the shading embedded in the artwork, making it easy to know where to add shadows and light.
I wanted to have a subtle line to this image, so I reached for the Saddle Brown StazOn ink. If Soft Suede and Crushed Curry had a baby, it would be this colour!

You can see the true Saddle Brown Stazon colour on the greeting of this card. The subtlety of this colour blends well with the harvest colours of watercolor pencils that I used on the sunflower.

I love the variety of layers included in the Sunflowers Dies. It makes for embellishment groupings with lots of depth!

This was the “pee your pants” card on Episode 15 of “Why Did I Buy This?” Not sure what I mean by that? Check out the episode or any of my previous Facebook Lives to catch its meaning. 😉
