The last month has been… wild, to say the least. I never could have imagined that the entire world would be put on hold to combat the spread of a novel virus. The adjustment to a life of quarantine has been filled with ups and downs. I love spending time with my family and making the best of the situation as well as we can. But cancelled grade 12 graduation, national competitions, birthday parties and trips has made for some very low moments. That coupled with the uncertainty and fear that comes from the unknown of “what’s next?” in this global crisis, it’s been interesting, to say the least.
One thing that has truly made a difference for me is crafting. There is something so meaningful and joyful about being creative. Making a card is an easy project to complete in one sitting, making the feeling of accomplishment an added bonus. What makes card making even better is it’s a two-fer – what I mean is, you get the fun of making the card and you also get the fun of sending a card to a friend, knowing that you’ll make their day better.
I have been the lucky recipient of many cards from friends and team members over the last few months. I can honestly say that card receiving NEVER gets old.
