Why Did I Buy This? Stamps, Stamps & More Stamps!

IMG_3784

Have you ever looked at a craft supply in your collection and thought, “why did I buy this?”  During this time of home isolation, one of the things I encourage you to do, is dig into your craft supplies and make cards!  Handing out cards is a great way to let friends and family know that you’re thinking of them!

To help you learn how to feel more confident with your supplies, I’ve created a series of FaceBook Live videos to showcase different products!

Watch Episode 4 of “Why Did I Buy This?” about stamps, here.

Here are the projects that I showcased in this episode.

WDIBT - Stamps-005

This adorable purse comes from the Best Dressed Suite!  The All Dressed Up Dies make it so easy to assemble this treat pouch.

First, cut out the purse shapes with the dies.  You’ll need 2 pieces of 5″x6″ paper to cut out the template.  All of the cutting and scoring is done by the die!

Add Tear & Tape adhesive to the flaps as shown below, and assemble:

Next, use the dies to cut 2 purse straps and 4 buckles:

Add Tear & Tape Adhesive to the ends of the purse straps after threading the buckle on and adhere to the bag.

Here are a few more projects that I shared on today’s episode.

These two projects were made with a Stampin’ Up! style of stamp called Dist-INK-tive.  They are basically a photo that’s been transformed into rubber to get a photo realistic looking image:

This next project is made a with a reversible stamp style.  The mountains on the block can either be a solid image, or flipped over to reveal a detailed image:

This technique is one that I developed to make your 2-step stamps look even more detailed!  I call it “Two-Step Watercolour.”  You can see how I did this technique by watching the video on my facebook page.
