Welcome to the Stamping Sunday blog hop!   You have just arrived in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and I am Lynsay Mahon.  You can see the list of the design team members to hop along with today, by clicking on the blue button:

This month, our team is featuring wrapping.  You would think that given how much I love card making, that I would also love wrapping gifts… wrong!  I really dislike gift wrapping, so any chance I get to create a cute box or favour to hold a gift – I’m on it!

This first project was inspired by a swap that my friend Kim Williams gave me.  This project is great to add a gift card to or some Ghiradelli chocolates!

It’s made with an acetate card box, cut in half (so you get 2 per box).  The Coastal Cabana insert measures 4-3/4″ x 4-3/8″.  The cardstock is scored at 3″ and 3-5/8″ to get the flap that bends over the top.  I finished off the decor by adding paper from the Santa’s Workshop Specialty Designer Series Paper (my favourite this season!!).  I added a tiny bit of shimmer paint to the snowman to add a little more pizzaz:

My second project is a really simple envelope that would be great to tuck a gift card or some cash into:

I love how the designer series paper does all of the work on this one.  To make this little bag, you’ll need a piece of paper 7.5″x 5″.   Score that paper at 3.5″ and at 7″ then turn and score the bottom at 0.5″.  I trimmed the edges on an angle to make the bag fold in a little easier and also cut off the second half of the bottom of the bag.  Use a really strong adhesive, like Tear & Tape to hold it together.wrap it up feature-002

I hope we’ve given you some wrapping inspiration!  To keep hopping along with the rest of the Stampin’ Sunday Design Team, please click on the blue button:

  1. Two fabulous creations Lynsay! The Santa’s Workshop DSP is a perfect addition to dress up the acetate box. Love that you coloured enamel snowflake with the Stampin’ Blends. Great idea! Thanks for sharing! Rochelle xo
