This month, our team is featuring the bundle “Abstract Impressions.” This bundle is quickly becoming one of my all time favourites! Here you can see more about this beautiful bundle:
I’m a huge fan of the two-step watercolor look that this set provides! Combined with our bright, new colours, the results are stunning.
For my first project, I wanted to showcase the two-step stamping that this set is known for:
I love how combining coordinating colours provides the pop of detail on each of the flowers.
I reached for a framelit outside of the collection which is become my “go to” for detail. It’s called the “Stitched Labels Framelits Dies.”

Stitched Labels Framelits Dies by Stampin’ Up!
I used one of the labels to cut our vellum to layer behind the sentiment for a subtle detail and another to give a “faux” cross stitch detail along the top of the layering piece:
For my second project, I wanted to play on the watercolour feel of the images:
To get this watercolour look, I inked the image, then spritzed lightly with water, before I applied it to the Shimmery White Cardstock. I let it dry, then I repeated this process with the second layer of the stamp. I love how it looks like it’s been painted, but it took no effort (or skill) on my part!

Gorgeous creations, Lynsay. Your watercolouring is just beautiful, and looks just like a painting. I also love how you have paired the Abstract Impressions with the Stitched Labels Framelits Dies. A perfect match. D xox
