This month, we are showcasing one of my favourite suites in the Occasions Catalogue: Myths & Magic! This suite is great for the fantasy lover in your life! Filled with mythical creatures, such as dragons, mermaids, wizards and unicorns, it’s easy to create magic in your projects! The glittery designer paper, glimmer paper and washi tape add just the right touch of sparkle to your projects!
For my first project, I wanted to make a little thank-you gift for a friend of mine. I love that the Magical Day stamp set and the Magical Mates framelits dies come as a bundle at 10% off. You can see how easy it is to stamp and cut the images like I did on the tag on this treat bag:
I used the Gift Bag Punch Board to create the little treat bag out of vellum cardstock. If you are unfamiliar with this tool, you can see a “how to” video here:
Isn’t it cute!? And I love how I can fill the treat bag with the Sweet Soiree Ready Shreddie to have it perfectly coordinates with the Rich Razzleberry I used to colour the dragon, and for the background circle.
The second project I made highlights the adorable art work in the Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper:
I used the Layered Circles framelits to cut 4 of the mermaids out of the paper and layer with the scallop circle that is also in this framelit collection.
Here’s a close up of the amazing artwork. What isn’t easy to see in the photo is all of their little mermaid dresses are glittery:
The bubbles also come from the Magical Mates Framelits Dies and I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere them to the Pool Party cardstock background.
I used the same designer paper to create a coordinating envelope using the Envelope Punch Board by Stampin’ Up!. Because the designer paper is double sided it makes for a really detailed envelope! You can see a video on how to use this tool here:

Lynsay ~ two beautiful projects! The use of the Fabulous Foil on your dragon box was inspired. That pattern is a great mimic of dragon scales.
