This month, we are showcasing two Stampin’ Up! project kits: the Lots of Happy and Perennial Birthday Kits. I opted to focus on my favourite: the all-inclusive, Lots of Happy, Card Kit.
Here is a video by Stampin’ Up! showcasing how this kit comes together:
What I love about kits like this is not only do you get to make 20 beautiful cards, but there are non-consumable supplies, like the stamp set, ink pad, and watercolor pencils left over for you to keep on creating with! I wanted to share with you some alternative projects that you can do with the left over supplies.
This first card uses stamps that are included in the 7-piece stamp set, but aren’t actually used in the original cards. I maintained the colour scheme of lemon lime twist and flirty flamingo, and kept within the watercolour theme. I love how the pieces layer together on this card. I even used the left over negatives of the vellum leaves from the kit by fussy cutting around the outside to keep the leaf shape. Here’s a closer look:
The second project is a nice, simple card:
I repeatedly stamped the flower to create the background and used a sponge dauber to concentrate ink in the centre to create a subtle flirty flamingo glow. I had a left over pre-printed circle embellishment, so used that on the centre for the greeting. It is a fast card to create, which I love!

Your cards are gorgeous! I especially LOVE the Lemon Lime Twist watercoloring. So pretty and adds the perfect touch to your card! As for the Flirty Flamingo card- I’m totally going to be sad when this color retires. It truly makes the most beautiful cards!

Lynsay ~ great use of the left over bits from the kit! I love the way you’ve layered the sentiments and then highlighted with background color in two different looks.
