Welcome the to Stamping Sunday Blog Hop! My name is Lynsay Mahon from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada! This month our design team, along with guest blogger, Brian King, will be sharing some fantastic sneak peek projects from our upcoming 2018 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalogue! You can keep hopping to see all the projects by clicking on this blue button here or at the bottom of this post:
The suite that we are sharing is the Picture Perfect Birthday. I am SERIOUSLY in love with this set of products! Everything about it is my style: the colours, the images, the font on the greetings, the picture realism designer series paper… I think you’re going to be eager to have it in your hands too!
The first set of projects I want to share with you focuses on the Designer Series Paper Stack, Picture Perfect Party.
One side of this 6×6″ paper displays cute, patterned designs. But it’s the other side that blows my mind! All of the images are photographs of party worthy items (think cookies with sprinkles, confetti, donuts, candles and balloons!). I wanted to keep this paper as the focal point, so I used our new Whisper White Narrow Note Cards and Envelopes to make sweet little cards like these:
Here is a closer look at each one:
I love the simplicity of being able to stamp directly over the image to get a completed look! And the font of the greetings is a perfect mix of whimsy and cute.
A few weeks ago, I saw our guest blogger, Brian, used a circle punch to create a liner for these mini envelopes and it inspired me to try the Pretty Label punch to give a flourish to the envelopes:
The best part is the Narrow Note Cards fit perfectly into the new Lots of Love Box Framelits Dies to enable you to create a little gift box for these cards:
Seriously cute! I’m a sucker for gift boxes!
Speaking of which, take a look at my next set of projects:
Here, I’ve taken the Acetate Card Box and filled it with a little stamping treat for a friend, and some of the new Sweet Soiree Ready Shreddie. I attached 2 – 2″ strips of the designer series paper to create the belly band that can slide off if the person wants to reuse the box for something else. The finished focal greeting was so cute, I wanted to see what it would look like on a card:
This card uses the photo realism side of the paper again (I’m addicted). I love that it has the look of a shaker card, but it’s completely 2-dimensional.
I hope you get to play with this suite soon! The good news is, all items from the 2018 Occasions Catalogue are available for order starting January 3! Canadians can order them from my online store.
There is a ton more talent to share! Be sure to keep hopping along to see the rest of our design team’s projects! Click the blue button to keep hopping:
Thanks for joining in the fun!

Beautiful projects, Lynsay! I love the tall, thin cards you’ve created – they showcase this paper perfectly. I’m most excited, though, by how you’ve put the Pretty Label Punch front-and-center. Great post! So glad I was able to hop with this group today! ❤
