Welcome to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop! You are currently visiting me in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and my name is Lynsay Mahon. This month we are featuring the stamp set from Stampin’ Up!’s Holiday catalogue, Labels to Love. This is a fun set to work with as it coordinates with the new Everyday Label Punch!

During the holidays, I like to have packaging ready to slip a gift card into. It takes a quick gift idea to the next level by adding hand made flair to it.
The first project I made uses the envelope punch board to create the pocket that you can slip a gift card into:
This is a sweet way to package a little Halloween treat for a niece or nephew. By leaving the flap open on the envelope, the pocket is ready to fill with a little chocolate bar, or even a gift card to one of their favourite book stores.
The second project I have to share with you is a treat bag ready to be filled with a Christmas gift card, or even a treat like a homemade cookie or chocolate.
I created the tie-dyed look by stamping the image on watercolour paper with the waterproof black Archival Ink. Then I used a watercolour wash to add Bermuda Bay and Lemon Lime Twist to let the colours blend well. After drying, I punched it out and layered with the Starburst punch. I love the way the Starburst punch layers with the Everyday Label Punch as the focal point in both projects.
