Stamping Sunday Blog Hop – New Catalog Favorite 2017

Welcome to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop! Stampin’ Up!’s new Holiday Catalogue arrives September 1 and with it comes new fall and winter products that are going to WOW you! Today’s blog hop will highlight some of our favorite items in the catalogue and give you a sneak peak into what will be available for your crafting fun this fall! You have hopped to Edmonton, Alberta Canada, and I’m Lynsay Mahon.

One of the sets that jumped out to me immediately is called, “Hug in a Mug.”  This photopolymer stamp set is cute as can be with a variety of mugs and “dressings” for your mug.  I love the font used for the greetings- think scripty and casual.  This stamp set is ridiculously cute.

During the holiday season, I like to gift little treats to friends, and I can see many possibilities with this stamp set.  The first project I’m sharing is a card, that could easily be given along with a Starbucks Gift Card, or a packet of hot chocolate tucked into the envelope:

This is a two step stamp: The mug is one stamp, and the pink comes from another stamp making colouring simple!  I used a Stampin’ Write marker to add a shadow affect to the mug.  The stars running along the side are from Washi Tape from the Annual Catalogue.

I cut out the mug to give it some dimension:

The second project I’d like to share is a gift tag.  I put some hot chocolate into a cello bag and added this tag:

You can see that I cut out the mug again, and added shadowing with my Stampin’ Write marker.  I also used wink of stella on the whipped cream to make it shimmer!

I can’t wait to share these little treats with friends this Christmas!
