Another Teenager in the House

I can’t believe it!  My baby is turning 13!  How the years fly when you’re having fun!

She is the kid in my house who is MOST into Stampin’ Up!.  When she isn’t busy with school or gymnastics, she’ll often ask me, “mom, do you need any crafting done?”  She is great at making swaps for me, and putting together Paper Pumpkin kits for thank-you cards I might need completed.  Needless to say, I wanted to make her a special card that she could appreciate the crafty-work.

My new favourite birthday set is called Celebration Time.  I love the bundle that includes the Celebration Thinlits Dies and the stamp set at 10% off the retail price.  This makes the  functionality of the stamp set, so much better!

There is a card featured in the catalogue that caught my eye right away, because it puts the age front and centre on the card, and being that thirteen is kind of a big deal, I wanted that to be the feature.  Here is the card that inspired me:

And here is my version of the card.

I changed up the colours a little to highlight my daughter’s favourites and added a bit more femininity to the background by using the new specialty designer series paper, Foil Frenzy.  Each sheet of designer paper has beautiful, foil designs on them.  It is absolutely stunning in person!

So now, we will have 2 teenage girls in the house (yes, you can pray for me). 😉
