The Color Theory Suite by Stampin’ Up! is easily one of the most popular in the new catalogue! Filled with imagery to match every season, the stamp set, Colorful Seasons and the coordinating framelits, Seasonal Layers, are perfect for all occasions. The suite is also designed with coordinating glitter enamel dots, ribbon and designer series paper to make putting a project together effortless.
I have been having some fun playing with this suite and came up with a simple overlay card that is easy to recreate:
The Colourful Seasons stamp set is perfect for this technique as it has solid images and detailed images that can be layered, like the leaves. Here’s how I accomplished this look:
- Stamp the large maple leaves in early espresso onto coordinating cardstock
- Stamp the detailed maple leaf over the solid image, using whisper white craft ink
- Fill in the background with the smaller solid leaves.
- The detailed copper leaf is cut out using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits dies and adhered using our new Multipurpose Adhesive sheets.
Who would you give a “just breathe” card to?
