Do you ever wonder where Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators come up with ideas? One of the ways is through card swaps. Think of a cookie exchange but with cards! We make several of the same card, swap it with other demonstrators, and the end result is multiple samples to share with all of you!
I’m participating in a swap next week with demonstrators from around the globe (how exciting!) and I’ll share some of the highlights with you. Want to see my swap?
This card showcases 4 of our new InColors:
Here’s how I did it. I mixed together Acrylic Gel Medium and re-inkers to make my very own “craft paint.” This is really affordable stuff found at any art store and probably most craft stores.
I made a mixture up for each of the four colours:
I used about 5-10 drops of reinker per colour. Once I blended it, I had created my very own acrylic paint, which I brushed on the card stock with foam brushes. Acrylic paint dries quite quickly so they were ready to embellish within about 10 minutes.
This look worked beautifully with a new stamp set that will be available on June 1 in Canada called, Painter’s Pallet. You can check my online store after June 1 to view it.
