Irresistibly Yours

“Irresistibly Yours” is Stampin’ Up!’s Specialty Designer Series Paper, released for Sale-a-bration.  But to me, it is like a magician’s trick!  This designer paper comes to you white, and it’s pretty as it is.  But it is when you add colour to it that it truly comes to life!

There are three different ways that you can add colour to this magical designer series paper to get a solid coloured background

  1. Sponge colour from a classic ink pad
  2. Brayer colour from a classic ink pad
  3. Spritz colour using a spritzer filled with classic re-inker and alcohol.

Here is a video I made showcasing the sponging technique on the Irresistibly Yours DSP:

These two samples I used Tangelo Twist (one of this year’s In Colors), and sponged the colour onto it.  Then I used an aqua painter and Chocolate Chip ink to splatter the background.  You’ll see wherever it is white is where the embossed image is.  This is how the paper is made.  The embossed image resists the ink, giving you the resist technique without the extra steps or tools needed for embossing!

I’ve had fun playing with this paper.  Here are a couple of samples made with it:

You can get your hands on this specialty “magic” paper for free with a $60 order from Stampin’ Up! during the Sale-a-bration period (Jan-Mar 2015).  I can’t wait to see what you make with it!  Tag me on instagram @inkythumbs or use #cloud9stampers on your creations!
